Depression : Is it being only Sad?

Depression is a psychological Disorder that occurs when people have felt sad or depressed at times. Feeling depressed can be a normal reaction to loss, life's struggles, or an injured self-esteem.But when feelings of intense sadness -- including feeling helpless, hopeless, and worthless -- last for many days to weeks and keep you from functioning normally, your depression may be something more than sadness. Prolonged depression causes major Depression .  After reading this post please comment your views on Depression Is it Only being Sad?

People think of a really bad sadness is Depression but it is More Complicated than Sadness.

Are you really Sad ?

If you realize that you are sad then you are almost not in depression . It's only the inner feeling that you alone will undergo that trauma . A depressed person never show of the inner feeling to the outside world . You would never show your sad emotions to others . You will consider it is only your own feeling .

Literally , You will be fighting within yourself , everyday life is struggle for you , you feel why I should live but you will never showcase your physical trauma to others.

Depression is the most complicated psychological Disorder when it exceeds the limit will lead to Suicide.

Differences between Sadness and Depression

Sadness and Depression seem to be similar but it is really different . Both cannot be similar in one point of aspect .When people experience a loss, they usually feel sad, but don’t necessarily feel depressed.

When people are sad and express their sadness, they feel better, whereas when people are depressed, crying and expressing their pain may not give them relief.

Sadness doesn’t involve mean thoughts about oneself, or hopeless or suicidal thoughts, but depression often does. Sadness doesn’t involve distortion in perception, or loss of perspective, whereas depression usually does. Finally, sadness doesn’t interfere with feeling other emotions, while depression often prevents a range of specific emotions.

Depression often leads to suicide . But sadness doesn't . When you are very much relaxed showing your emotions you are not depressed. People who do not show their emotions or even after shoeing feeling the same sadness then you are depressed.



Symptoms of Depression

  • Lack  of interest or pleasure in anything.   
  • Fatigue            
  • Feeling of worthless   
  • Lack of Enjoyment   
  • Feeling Hopeless   
  • Inability to think or concentrate
